My stay at the Rocco Forte Hotel De La Ville was quite enjoyable, thanks to its fabulous location right at the top of the Spanish Steps. The room was clean and well-equipped, although I did find the lack of coffee-making facilities a bit disappointing. While the dining options were good, I found the prices for room service and cocktails to be on the high side, which made it hard to indulge as much as I wanted.

Rooms
7.0
I stayed in a classic room that was clean and well-furnished, albeit a bit on the small side. The amenities were decent overall, but I missed having tea or coffee-making facilities available in the room.
Service
6.5
The staff were friendly and accommodating, making the experience pleasant overall. However, I found the concierge team could have been more proactive and helpful in providing local insights for dining and activities.
Location
9.5
The location was absolutely perfect for sightseeing, with easy access to main attractions like the Trevi Fountain and the Spanish Steps. Having a taxi stand nearby was also super convenient for getting around.
Dining

Breakfast had a nice variety, but I found it a bit pricey. While the rooftop views were lovely, I felt that the dining and bar prices were quite steep, making me think twice about ordering room service.
Facilities
6.5
The hotel's common areas were inviting and well-maintained. However, I felt that some amenities were overpriced, especially given the quality of the food and drinks on offer.

I had mixed feelings about my stay at Rocco Forte Hotel De La Ville. The location near the Spanish Steps was unbeatable, and the rooftop terrace provided amazing views. However, I encountered issues with room service that detracted from my overall experience. While the decor has a charming historic feel, the maintenance could use some attention.

I found my room to be clean and soundproof, although it was smaller than expected. There were some basic amenities missing, such as sufficient bathroom toiletries.

The service varied; some staff were extremely helpful while others were not as attentive. I had to ask for basic things multiple times, which was frustrating.

The breakfast buffet was decent, but not really good compared to other five-star hotels I've visited. The charm of the dining areas did enhance the experience.

While the hotel had good facilities like a rooftop bar, I found that some essentials like room service were slow to respond, impacting my overall leisure.

I had a lovely stay at Rocco Forte Hotel De La Ville, enjoying its amazing views and historic charm, though I was disappointed with some aspects of service. The location is unbeatable, right at the Spanish Steps, which made exploring Rome a breeze. The breakfast was a highlight, offering a fantastic selection every morning, but I did encounter a few hiccups with housekeeping. Overall, I appreciated the comfort and amenities, but some issues kept me from rating it higher.

My room was well-furnished and provided amazing views of the city, though it could have been better insulated against noise from the corridor.

5.4/10

My recent stay at the Rocco Forte Hotel De La Ville was quite a journey. While I was initially disappointed with the room assignment, the staff, especially Pamela, worked hard to make things right, leading to a beautiful room with a stunning city view. The breakfast was fantastic, but I found the amenities not fully matching the luxurious price point, especially the limited facilities and one-ply toilet paper.

Rooms

I faced issues with my initial room on the first floor, which was dark and lacking a proper view. However, I was thrilled when I finally got upgraded to a top-floor room with amazing views of the city and a private terrace.
Service

Breakfast was elaborate and delicious, yet I felt other dining options were overpriced, and I wished for more variety. The courtyard was lovely, but I couldn't use it due to the rain.
Facilities

While the ambiance of shared spaces was cozy, I found some facilities closed during my stay, which was disappointing. The spa also had limited access, and I expected a higher standard considering the cost.
